Catholic view of Purgatory ... Is it real?

jwmcmac, help me with this

But . . .

Some things we Catholics just Believe, in Faith, simply on the say-so of the Church..

Mike says,

Good morning Patrick,
I try to decipher what you are trying to say sometimes and it isn't always clear. What I do hear you say is that it really isn't essential to be catholic to be saved (but you do promote being catholic for some reason.)

So,

Could you answer a few questions for me?

When you say "we catholics", just who are you referring to?

What qualifies a person do be included in the category of "we catholics"?

Is the safety net just belonging to the "Roman Catholic family", or is there another way to be catholic.?

Does purgatory still work for those catholics who don't believe in it?

What about those who do believe in it but are not catholic?

What about those that don't believe in it and are not catholic?

What about those Moslems that believe and insist that Jesus is merely a prophet? Will they go to purgatory?
