"If Anyone Has No Love For The Lord..."

"If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come!" (1 Corinthians 16:22, ESV.)

Have seen in this verse the great need to love the Lord Jesus Christ.

Contrary to some who claim that everyone is a child of God, Paul pronounced a curse on those who do not love the Lord. If Paul considered that all are children of God -- believers and unbelievers -- he would not pronounce a curse against those who do not love the Lord Jesus. As he also pronounced a curse against those who proclaimed a false gospel (Galatians 1:8-9).

And notice the intensity of his desire for the curse to come upon those who do not love Jesus. It's as great as his longing for Him to return!

If we claim to be followers of Jesus, then, there is a need for us to have the same answer of Peter when he was asked: "When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?'..." (John 21:15.)

If we are asked again, "...do you love me?" (verse 16), we have to give the same answer. And if we are asked for the third time, "Do you love me?" (verse 17), we should not also hesitate to reply, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you."

It's my prayer you will not just love Him, but you will really love Him above all things or anyone!

"Yet I will
rejoice in the LORD,
I will take joy
in the God of my salvation"
(Habakkuk 3:18, ESV).
