"GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places" (Habakkuk 3:19, ESV) flashed recently in my mind, as my physical body showed that it's indeed wasting away.

For more than 20 years Habakkuk 3:17-19 has been stored in my heart. During those years, the first two verses were so meaningful to me. But, when I vomited blood last month -- I felt the blood was bursting out in my throat -- verse 19 "flowed out" also in my mind, strengthening me in the weakening experience.

And the said passage became more meaningful to me. God, who is the Lord, is not only the Source of my Joy, but He is also my Strength. He is the One Who strengthens me -- enabling me to walk "on my high places" -- everyone of us has difficult pathway to walk on -- so high that only God could enable us to climb or pass through it.

"Yet I will
rejoice in the LORD,
I will take joy
in the God of my salvation"
(Habakkuk 3:18, ESV).
