2 Cor. 5 (NIV)

I want to focus on the word "ALL" in this passage. What is the scope of the word "ALL?"

"...One died for all, and therefore all died."

Is it that everyone died with Christ on the cross and some just don't know it or won't believe it?

Jeff, I'm not sure I get your point.

You're aware that there is a physical death to which we all are heir. Even Jesus died that without cause, which is how he has a life 'owed' to him; he cashed it in, so to speak, on our behalf. (Heb 9 and 10; 10:12,13 e.g. "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool." KJV)

There is also a spiritual death, to which Paul often refers; that's the one we need to worry about. Jesus has done his part and has 'sat down etc.' until now. He is alive, "Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen." 1 Tim 6:16
That true immortality (not just "everlasting life") has been extended to such as Paul. "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory." (1 Cor 15:54 ibid.)
I think that replies to your questions about any other death for Christ. 'Once for all'

"But still, didn't that event happen at the cross?"
Doesn't matter; we're still not certain until our life course is done. Recall Paul's warning in Philippians: "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, [continue to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

I see the value of your real estate illustration, except where it includes "which I believe not only involves alms but obedience to God's law".
You must obey the real estate laws in the jurisdiction involved to claim the property; 'good works' there or elsewhere won't be relevant in court. (Mt 7:21 ff,)
